Becky & Danny – Liopetro venue wedding

Becky & Danny said their "I do's" at the picturesque Liopetro venue in Paphos, Kouklia.

Their LOVE STORY in their own words:

We met via a festival! Becky bought the festival ticket off of Danny & we ended up going to the festival together. We hit it off straight away & you could say the rest is history ! Haha

Over the next 2 years we had rented a flat and bought our first house together and got our crazy little fur baby Ted (a french bulldog)! We had also visited Salou, Ibiza, Cork, Mexico, Centre Parcs then to Paris for my 24th birthday where Danny took me away for the weekend.

We spent the weekend eating good food and drinking lots of wine and doing a lot of dancing! At our hotel there was a private spa that we could hire for ourselves. We went there one evening and I was messing around taking photos of Danny moments before he proposed. Saying 3 short simple words "so will you" before showing me the ring. We both laughed and both felt in our own little bubble. Of course the answer was YES!

Unfortunately the ring was 8 sizes too big! How was he to know haha!! Since then we have our second home and have continued to visit some amazing countries together and we haven’t stopped dancing! We have been together 4 years this year and this year has been our biggest!

Why did you pick the venue that you chose?

We chose Liopetro Venue as we wanted somewhere secluded and private with beautiful views. We loved that it had everything in one place - bridal suite, ceremony, meal, bar, toilets etc

What was the biggest challenge you faced in planning your Cyprus wedding

We found the biggest challenge was having booked through a tour operator. I sourced everything myself as their selection was limited. Everyone I spoke to was really helpful and reassuring and made it easy for me when booking.

What inspired your wedding décor? Did you have a theme in mind?

We really wanted relaxed and natural vibes for our wedding day with our going overboard with decor gifts etc. We felt the venue offered so much in terms of scenery and decor. We kept our colours to a minimum as well.

What was your favourite part of the day? Does your spouse have a different favorite?

Danny’s favourite part of the day was arriving with all our guests as we had kept the venue a surprise. We had hired the wedding bus which all of our guests said was an amazing touch! My favourite part of the day was having some time together taking our photos during the sunset. I really enjoyed having some time together and the photos are even better!

Anything you would change if you could?

The only thing we would have changed would have been for more family to have been able to come and share our day with us. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect country or venue we just missed some important family members being there.

Any advice for couples planning their Cyprus wedding now?

For anyone planning their wedding now, just remember not to sweat the small stuff. Our guests weren’t bothered about flips flops or table gifts. They are there to witness you get married and that is what’s important. All your hard work or sourcing the perfect photographer or DJ has to be what you want. Try not to worry about what your guests will want or enjoy it is your day. The surroundings and weather make a Cyprus wedding even better. All whilst enjoying a holiday with your nearest and dearest.
