Lorna & Costas – Traditional Pomos wedding

So difficult to find the words to express the awesomeness of Lorna and Costas’ traditional Pomos wedding.  A magical day that was planned to perfection with their wedding planner Katie Williams from Marry Me Cyprus.  Lorna knew exactly what she wanted her wedding day to look like and Katie and her team went above and beyond to ensure pure magical perfection!  They tied the knot in Agios Raphael Church in Pomos and their reception was at Kanalli Restaurant.

Lorna & Costas’ love story in her own words:
The meeting…
Costas and I met on a random Saturday night out in Maidstone on 21st June 2013. Two of my close friends Kevin Fagg and Karen Gilbert (one my bridesmaid) took me out as my Dad had recently passed away.  It was a very difficult time and they were taking me out to try and take my mind of things.

The evening started well, drinks were flowing and the evening was underway. We went in to Mu Mu’s and had ventured upstairs to listen and dance to the cheesy music they were playing.  Costas was there and was looking over to me.  After sometime he came over and offered to buy me a drink.  As I was already at the bar I thought it was rude not to accept! And the rest is history….but as the saying goes… there’s two sides to every story

The first date…
Back to where it started, we met the following Thursday at Mu Mu’s and had a lovely time. So much chat and laughter.  He was a true gentleman, ordered me a taxi and paid for my safe return home.

The proposal…
We were away in Barbati, Corfu, 2015, we had gone for a meal to our favourite little restaurant “Taverna Glyfa”.  I can remember walking down the steps to where we were going and can remember his stare to me, smiling and I thought “what’s he thinking”. We were ordering food, drinking wine and I was telling horror stories of “wedding proposals” gone wrong (just because I had been reading a magazine that day on the beach and I felt bad for some of the people).

After my stories, I could see Costas looking on.  His face slightly amused but also serious. He then took a box’s from his jacket, placed it on the table and said “I hope you don’t laugh at this, will you marry me”.  I said yes of course.  Costas told me he was going to propose a few days before but I had annoyed him and he held back… ha-ha! Perfect timings and all that!

It was so hard to choose photos for this blog post as there were so many amazing moments.  So be prepared for a bit of photo overload.  All I can say is THANK you from the bottom of our hearts for choosing us to capture your amazing day.  We had an unbelievable time and your wedding is one that will always stay in our hearts.  The love, the joy, the laughter was amazing to witness!
